DHL eCommerce Solutions, a division of the world’s leadinglogistics company, Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) Group, has launchedits existing Expedited Max U.S. domestic product as 100 percentcarbon-neutral. All Expedited Max (CO2) emissions will be offsetand included as a standard product feature. Expedited Max domesticparcel tracking will also include a new carbon-neutral GoGreenprogram message and logo. The Expedited Max carbon-neutral productis an outcome of our Sustainability Roadmap under the newlylaunched DPDHL Group Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)goals.
Additionally, all U.S. flats and parcel outbound productcustomers will have access to a personalized Carbon EmissionsReport on the Customer Web Portal. The Carbon Emissions Report willprovide customers with visibility of the carbon emissions theirshipments are generating on a weekly and monthly basis (gross,offset and net emissions).
“Our U.S. domestic customers can have visibility of theircarbon footprint and know they are making a positive impact on theenvironment when using our Expedited Max product,” said DmitryAntonov, VP of Product Management for DHL eCommerce Solutions,Americas. “By offsetting our carbon footprint and setting thehighest environmental standard, we are contributing to DPDHLGroup’s overall environmental targets.Prior to the official launchof the Expedited Max carbon-neutral product, DHL eCommerceSolutions U.S. purchased credits to offset an estimated 60,000metric tons of CO2 generated by Expedited Max shipments in the U.S.in 2020. This carbon offset in 2020 is equivalent to offsettingapproximately 150 million miles (based on the average U.S. caremitting 404 grams of CO2 per mile driven).
